The TiteFX body contouring procedure provides the next generation of non-invasive lipolysis.
What is TiteFx?
Am I a good candidate for TiteFx Treatment?
What does the treatment feel like?
What can I expect at my first treatment?
At your first treatment, measurements will be taken of the treatment area as well as weight, and pre-procedure photos will be taken. Since your skin will be heated to an optimal temperature of 40-43°C, you will be offered water to help keep you comfortable during treatment. The heating process will then begin. Your technician will use a stamping technique to gradually increase your body temperature with the TiteFx handpiece, and once optimal temperature is reached the handpiece will emit an electrical pulse to start the destruction of fat cells. The stamping technique will continue along the treatment area and the full treatment session generally takes 45 minutes to one hour per treatment zone.
What can I expect immediately after treatment?
There may be redness, swelling, increased warmth and/or pinpoint bleeding at the treatment area but this is temporary and lasts only a few hours. Clients with sensitive or dryer skin types may experience more dry and flaky skin than usual and this can be easily addressed with a good moisturizer. Very rare side effects may also include crusting, blistering, change of skin pigmentation or scarring.
How does TiteFx work?
The triple action effects of TiteFx include radiofrequency heating, vacuum massage and a high amplitude electromagnetic pulse that delivers optimal energy to treatment areas. This effective combination of Radio Frequency RF energy and high voltage electromagnetic pulses damages targeted fat cells permanently. The damaged fat cells are then removed by the body’s white blood cells and excreted from the body over weeks to months. Comparable to “cool” contouring methods and other non-invasive techniques, the number of fat cells are permanently reduced in the treated area, however the heat energy from TiteFx has the advantage of also providing skin tightening effects, which are not available with “cooling” methods.
Are the results permanent and when will I see results?
TiteFx removes fat from targeted areas, resulting in and skin tightening and destruction of a portion of your targeted fat cells. Clients will often see subtle yet immediate results after their first few treatments and full results will be seen within weeks to months after treatment is completed. After the procedure, damaged fat cells are removed by the body’s white blood cells and individual factors dictate how long this process takes. Complete results will be seen at your six month follow up appointment, where measurements and photos will be compared with the records from the very first appointment.
Excellent results are also dependent on client compliance and lifestyle factors such as diet and exercise. It is important to note that this treatment does not prevent future weight gain. If there is weight gain after this body contouring treatment, a higher percentage of weight gain will go to areas of the body that were not treated previously; although, there is always a chance of slight weight gain in the previously treated area. Even with fewer fat cells in the body, the remaining fat cells can still grow. For example, if a client has their abdomen treated because this was an area where they tend to hold and gain more fat than other areas, any newly gained weight may be gained more evenly over the body (thighs, back, butt, breasts and still abdomen).
Note that the above information would also even apply to more aggressive invasive treatments, such as liposuction. Liposuction and non-invasive body contouring never cause patients to gain cm, inches or pounds. Weight gain and fat gain is a function of diet and exercise. The fat is distributed into fat cells and where the most fat cells are located is a function of genetics and body hormones and can be changed by certain drugs (extra hormones, steroids, fertility drugs, marijuana, alcohol) or medical conditions (e.g. problems with thyroid or adrenal glands) and age (generally muscle decreases and fat increases as we age). Body contouring surgery or non-invasive body contouring can alter the future distribution of fat cells but will not prevent future weight gain.
Non-invasive techniques, such as TiteFx will spot reduce by centimeters, but liposuction can reduce by inches. Our clinic offers more dramatic results with liposuction performed by Dr. Christine Kurz, using the same technology on the BodyTite Platform. Dr. Kurz’s technique uses minimally-invasive liposuction to physically remove fat cells while simultaneously heating the skin to achieve skin tightening.
